A lot of business travelers use American Express as their travel agency. On top of that they use the powerful WorldMate app to keep them informed on itinerary changes and flight information. Today WorldMate and American Express announced a partnership to streamline the mobile offering to their customers. The partnership will bring travelers quite a few more services.

Some of the new Services that stood out are

  • Automatic Itinerary syncing
  • Pop-up flight alerts that will suggest alternative flights
  • Social network tools to help locate colleagues that are travelling in the same area

This is going to be a great tool for all business travelers. The initial release will work on BlackBerrys and iPhones. I am sure they will quickly move to other platforms too. I cant wait to try it out.
