As the months go by faster and faster it just means that we are getting closer to the release of Windows Phone 7. No of course since everyone has been duped into thinking that the amount of apps makes a phone, Microsoft has no choice but to ramp up the apps that will be available at launch. To help that fact along, the Developer Tools have gone into beta.

If you are a developer and are interested in building apps for Windows Phone 7 then you can sign up on Microsoft’s site. According to the Windows Team Blog the kit is very close to the final version.

Here is the quote

The term “Beta” is understood to mean that things are close to being finished.  Well, that’s what we mean anyway. This Beta release represents the near final version of the tools for building applications and games for Windows Phone 7.
