One of the biggest parts of touch screen devices is gesture support. This was done very well by Apple and has now carried forward to all touchscreen phones. Basically a gesture is a motion you execute on the screen. Once you do the motion the phones translate that into an action. For example, when you swipe you finger from left to right on your phone, chances are, the screen will shift in that direction. Windows Phone 7 is no different in the need to support gestures. And the fact that it does is no surprise. However, the surprise comes with how smart the phone is and the amount of gestures it supports.

The list of gestures you would suspect are there. The few surprises are Windows Phone 7’s ability to understand shapes. In the demo video you will not only see the list of gestures supported but how fast Phone 7 can recognixe them.

Enjoy!
