Verizon Wireless is continuing it’s mobile services ramp up. A few weeks ago Verizon announced they were allowing customers to use Skype on their phones. Now Verizon is planning on showing live NFL games and the RedZone Channel on mobile phones too. According to Buisnessweek.com the deal is reportedly worth $720 million dollars. This will be pretty nice for users that are not DirecTV customers. If you own the Superfan Pack you can install DirecTV’s mobile app(SuperCast) on the iPhone, Windows Mobile or BlackBerry, Palm pre and Droid ERIS phones. This app allows you to get stats and actually watch games too. But for everyone else welcome to the fold. I wonder how this will affect each teams salary cap (if it still exists). More importantly I wonder how much this is going to hurt Sprint.
