Not sure why companies are rushing phones out the door before they are ready but here we are again. Yesterday Verizon confirmed that a small amount of Droid X phones are having a screen issue. According to Gizmodo.com some Droid X owners are experiencing screen flickering and banding. Apparently the issue has already been solved by Motorola.

Good job to Verizon and Motorola to get out ahead of this. I guess everyone should learn that Apple’s antennae fiasco was not the way to go.

Here is the official statement

Verizon Wireless and Motorola are aware of a very small number of DROID X units that have experienced a flickering or banding display. Motorola has resolved the issue and is continuing to ship the phones. Any consumer who experiences a flickering or banding display should contact a Motorola customer support center or Verizon Wireless.

Let us know if you are seeing the issue and how well support took care of it.
