Sharing pictures with friends and family is arguable easier on Windows Phone 7 than any other platform. Windows Phone has a feature called Quick Upload, which provides one-click sharing of pictures to Facebook or Windows Live SkyDrive. Commonly, we share pictures via email, MMS, or online services like Facebook.
Windows Phone 7 has a great photo feature that allows quick picture upload to Facebook or SkyDrive. Every smartphone platform has an option to upload pictures to online services such as Flickr, Facebook, or Windows Live SkyDrive. The slight variation between the platforms is the accessibility to these services. Generally, pressing and holding the image shows a picture menu, which usually includes a “share” (upload) menu on the other hand, there may be a “menu” button. Windows Phone 7 has the same options with one additional feature.
Usually a user has a service that they tend to upload pictures to the most. Windows Phone 7 gives you the option to choose one of two services for Quick Upload, Facebook or Windows Live Sky Drive. Generally to share a photo on most phone you press Menu | Share to send your image in a variety of ways. On Windows Phone 7 the Quick Upload option displays your favorite or configured upload location right off the menu. Get in, Get out, Get on with life is not just a marketing pitch it is part of Windows Phone’s DNA. Quick upload effectively shortens the amount of time it takes you to share the moment on Facebook or SkyDrive.
How to setup Quick Upload
From the home screen swipe right and select Settings in the application list.
When in Settings swipe right to Applications then scroll down to pictures +camera
At the bottom of the list is the option Quick Upload Account. Tapping the box allows you to choose your service.
Now that you have chosen your Quick Upload Account the next time you take a picture you will simple be able to select it as opposed to opening the share option.
Hopefully, Microsoft will add additional services to the Quick upload options. Personally, I share most of my pictures on SkyDrive so I am covered however some people may want MMS, email, Flickr, PhotoBucket or a host of other services as Quick Upload options.
