I have noticed a popup dialog, message is open in another application, on my BlackBerry 9650 running BlackBerry 6 that I do not recall when running BlackBerry 5. When I initially saw this message I was running a leaked version of BlackBerry 6 so I did not pay it much attention. Since upgrading to the official Verizon release of BlackBerry 6 for the Bold 9650 I am still getting the dialog.
How to reproduce the dialog
- From your home screen open one of your email folders.I specifically used a message folder specifically associated with one of my BIS accounts. I have put a rectangle around my BIS folders above but when you scroll over it the All text above will change to your email address.
- Now once in your email account open a message.
- Rather then hitting the back button to close the message click the end call button to go to the home screen
- Now scroll to the universal inbox, the one labeled Messages
- Locate the same email message and attempt to open it. You should see the message below
This message is open in another application. Close the other application and try opening the message again.
The solution is obvious but an annoyance none the less.
