Another app company KIK Messenger has revealed they will be developing a version for the Windows Phone 7 platform. In a press release from Microsoft there were quotes from Ted Livingston the CEO of KIK Interactive. The biggest quote that stood out to me was “our developers fell in love with it almost immediately”. It just goes to show that if people use the Windows Phone 7 Platform they will love it. There is no release date yet but presumably it will have to be after the next version of Windows Phone 7 codenamed Mango becomes available.

Post image for Windows Home Server 2011 Released to MSDN and TechNet

After months of sitting in limbo, Windows Home Server 2011 been released to TechNet and MSDN subscribers. This is good news for folks that were ready to try the new version even though the drive extender technology was removed. To replace it I just decided to use the built in disk management tools native to Windows but I will miss the drive extender. However, with two terabyte hard drives being so cheap I am sure I will be over it quickly.

Post image for ChevronWP7 Windows Phone 7 NODO Update Step by Step Screen Shots

We recently posted about a new procedure that installs NODO on your Windows Phone 7 device today. I was able to do this update on the AT&T Samsung Focus without issue and documented the process. The only gotcha I ran into had to run the app twice since there are two updates. Also, beware that if you tried the previous method of turning off your adapters make sure you turn them back on as a nasty exception is thrown if you do not.

Many people have been waiting for the NODO Windows Phone 7 update to no avail, especially AT&T Samsung Focus users. The people who have done many hacks for Windows Phone 7 have come up with an update tool that installs NODO today. He used the Windows Phone support tools, which Microsoft released yesterday to make this happen.

Post image for New Windows Phone 7 NODO Hack

I love how passionate Windows Phone 7 fans are about their devices to the extent that carriers and Microsoft should really pay attention to what is going on. Users have been coming up with different ways to force the Windows Phone 7 NODO update onto their phones. Some folks have seen the T-Mobile HD7 start getting updates but AT&T customers are still waiting on the outside. This new trick will help some Phone 7 owners get the update, specifically those devices where the carriers have started pushing updates out.

Post image for Still No SiriusXM Radio App For Windows Phone 7

I have never been accused of being a patient person so our readers are free to tell me that I am jumping the gun, however I am really frustrated that there is not a SiriusXM Radio App on Windows Phone 7 yet. I have been a XM Radio subscriber for a long time and jumped on the opportunity when smartphone apps started releasing. There are many apps in the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace that stream music so I am having a hard time figuring out what the holdup is. Even DirecTV put an app on Windows Phone so what is SiriusXM waiting for.
