Many Sprint consumers who are Windows Phone Fans have been wondering when they will be releasing a new device and unfortunately, it will not be anytime soon. According to an article on pcmag.com, Sprint’s VP of product realization David Owens stated that Windows Phone was not doing well on Sprint.

A few weeks ago, ChvronWP7 labs began developer unlocking Windows Phone devices for the enthusiast developer at a cost of just $9 USD. Emoticons are an quick and fun way to express yourself in text messages. As we are now finding out via Microsoft’s Windows Phone team memeber Michael Stroh, there are tons of cool emoticons in Windows Phone 7.5. On the last two Windows Phone Blog Tip Tuesdays, Michael Stroh has posted key combinations of the vast array of emoticons available in two parts. Michael warns that due to a lack of global standards, some character combos might bring up different images if sent to none Windows Phone or Windows Live Messenger users. I watched one of my favorite shows Psych, the other day, and am sure I spotted the Samsung Focus. With Windows Phone 7 turning a year old, it is now time for Microsoft to start ratcheting up the marketing for the platform. So far, Microsoft has turned up the heat a little but Nokia is really putting in work. Therefore, any time I see Windows Phone 7 device on TV, other than a commercial, is fantastic. Key Ring is a fantastic app on Windows Phone 7 and is pinned on my HTC Titan’s start screen. Many people have a key ring or a wallet full of their favorite pharmacy, clothing, or grocery store’s membership card. The problem with this practice is that the clutter builds rapidly, and more over you find your keychain becoming unusable. CardStar is a popular smartphone application, which allows you to scan your cards to your mobile device however; Key Ring is a much better app.

By way of full disclosure, I am an Android user of over 3 years, and this is my first experience with a Windows Phone 7 device. I’ll try to keep this review mostly to the phone itself, and I’ll tackle my views on the Windows Phone 7 OS after I’ve spent some more time with the phone, and the HTC Titan.

The countdown officially begins for the best Windows Phone 7 device’s release date and if you have not listened to the SMRPodcast then I will simply inform you that we are speaking of the HTC Titan. This phone is the 4.7-inch beast that I fully intend on owning on day one. While we are not quite sure why it did not release on November 6 however all is forgiven. The HTC Titan will sell for 199.99 on contract and will get you a 1.5GHz processor and a WVGA Super LCD screen.
