I have spent most of today reading all the wonderful reviews of Windows Phone 7. Some of the reviews made me feel like I was actually holding the phone. One thing to point out is, just because I said the reviews were wonderful, doesn’t mean they were all glowingly for Windows Phone 7. Most of the reviews I read, seemed fair and impartial, but as many of us know, there is always the article that is dripping with bitter bias of the author. I will include links to some of the reviews . I don’t understand how you write an article with a painfully obvious bias and not just state you bias at the start. Trying to pass something like that off, as an unbiased review, is just BS.

This upgrade further enhances this no cost software that enables you to turn your Windows 7 PC into a virtual Wi-Fi hotspot and share any kind of connectivity (Wi-FI, Wired, Wireless Broadband) with other authorized users. Most of us are probably well aware of how to initiate an RDC (remote desktop connection) session to another computer. If you have a Windows Home Server, this is probably how you access the Administrative Console. Perhaps you have a Media Center PC that you access this way also. The ability exists to do the same with Windows 7 PCs as well. Of course there are some restrictions on how you can connect the biggest being the amount of connections. I recently found out how to get around them and I am going to share them with you.

I am starting to see various news reports crop up that Windows Phone 7 is being delayed. Some sites are saying this is extremely bad news for Microsoft while others suggest the deal is related to the success of the Droid. Either way being a proponent of Windows Phone I welcome the delay.

I too have recently upgraded from a notebook with embedded Verizon EVDO to one that does not have this ability internally. I had to make the decision of USB vs. MiFi. For me, the decision became a lot easier with a chance discovery. In the Fall of 2007, when I first started evaluating Windows 7 seriously, one of the proposed functions was the ability to support virtual WiFi connections. In the same way modern OS platforms support virtual Operating Systems (with virtual Network adapters), Microsoft proposed to support virtual network connections in the Core OS.
