Photo Edited in Snapseed

We can all take pictures that look award winning with the technology today, and thanks to programs like Snapseed, we can even have professional quality editing. Apple gave Snapseed their “App of the Year” Award in 2011 – and after using the program is easy to see why. One of my colleagues frequently shares with me images he has edited with Snapseed and I asked him to share his secret / process to demystify image editing.

Post image for Today Apple Announces 4G LTE iPad 3

Today Apple announced their new iPad, which really confirms most of the rumors about their new tablet. The iPad 3 features a new quad-core A5X processor, 4G LTE radio, and an HD capable video camera. Apple is touting that the iPad 3 has a battery life of 9 hours on 4G and 10 Hours on 3G, which is very impressive, based on all the 4G battery woes that Android devices have seen.

Bloomberg TV+ for the iPad

Bloomberg has launched a new app called Bloomberg TV+ app for the iPad. If you have a tablet that supports adobe flash you can already enjoy Bloomberg TV via your web browser. How to Add Text Shortcuts in iOS 5

by Rod on October 24, 2011 · 0 comments

iOS 5 Keyboard Shortcut

Text Shortcuts is a new feature of iOS 5 that can save you time typing repetitive phrases, words with accent marks, or just correcting spelling. Think of Text Shortcuts as a macro that turns AML into “all my love”, AYTMTB into “and you’re telling me that because”, FTW into “for the win”, or PRW into “parents are watching”. This is not new technology, as it exists today in an iOS app called TextExpander and on BlackBerry OS with Auto Text. This is, however, a nice integrated solution for iOS devices. Let me show you how to do add text shortcuts for yourself in iOS 5.

Noteshelf Makes Natural Handwriting Easy on the iPad

Noteshelf

It is difficult to look at the iPad and not see the potential to take a Bamboo Stylus, launch Noteshelf and take handwritten notes with digital ink. The iPad, unlike the HTC Flyer, lacks an active digitizer which allows you to rest your hand on the tablet as your write, without confusing the application accepting the input. Leave it to clever developers like the makers of Noteshelf to add a palm detection feature in the software which only accepts input above a certain point, thus ignoring your resting palm. Noteshelf is not the only application to adopt the palm detection feature, but it is one of our favorite apps when taking notes on the iPad.

Wrapsol iPad 2 Screen Protector

There is only one way to describe Wrapsol iPad Film Protector: The Wrapsol is simple to install and is an effective way to protect your iPad from scratches. Shockingly, I was initially skeptical of the Wrapsol iPad film protector, as I have always used the Zagg InvisibleShield. While I am sure there may be technical differences in the actual material, for the customer the difference is in how you apply the film. Regardless of the method, Wrapsol is a worthy solution for protecting your iPad.
