I have written a few guides on converting movies before and since there are new gadgets out there I need to to it again. I am telling you now, if you want to convert movies you must use DVDFab. It is hands down the best DVD Converting software out there. DVDFab is great because they have all kinds of different flavors. There is an option just to backup DVD’s to your hard drive or convert DVD’s to a mobile format, which is what we will use for the iPad. The version we are using is DVDFab DVD Ripper (DVD to Mobile)..

Earlier this week I wrote a post on a very easy way to add a movie to your Windows Phone. All you had to do is purchase it from Amazon and use the software to transfer it. Rod wrote an article yesterday about how to put movies on your mobile devices using software on a Mac. There are more technical people that read our post that want to know how to add a movie they already own to their phone. Let me help you

I get asked all the time how do you convert movies so you can watch them on your Zune HD, Blackberry Storm, iPhone, Motorola Droid or add them to my home media center. I don't want this blog post to be long winded rather step by step instructions as to how I convert movies. Unlike my buddy Chris I take a two step process in movie conversions. Additionally, I am approaching this from a Mac perspective. Not because I don't use Windows, but because my Windows machines are busy all day and I have free cycles on my iMac when my kids are in school so I put that thing to work.
