Previous Android 2.2 releases for the Nexus One have been for T-Mobile users only. It appears this update is for both T-Mobile and AT&T users. Even better the updates works regardless of the current firmware version. I know Chris is going to be updating as soon as he reads the update is available.

It looks like AT&T users are finally feting their Android 2.2 update. While some updates hace pushed for T-Mobile users over the last couple weeks AT&T users have sat on the sideline waiting on an update. The update being push is Android FRF85 AKA bulletproofed Froyo build. It is unclear if this update includes T-Mobile Nexus One users.

Just like everyone else AT&T is clearing out the old stock of Windows Phones. I guess with a few more Android Phones Coming this Summer Windows Phone 7 this fall and of course the release of the iPhone 4, it’s time to make some space in the stock room. And if you don’t care about having the latest and greatest or maybe want to get your kid on a Smartphone this may be the sale for you.

We talk about the debacle that was the Motorola Backflip a lot on our podcasts. Couple that with a huge outcry for a better subsidized Android phone and you have a real dilemma for AT&T. They have always maintained that during the summer their would be more Android Phones. Perhaps androidguys.com have stumbled on one of them. According to the site, they have some decent looking pictures of a Samsung device running Android 2.1.

Well it looks like Palm still has a some fight in them after all. Palm has been suffering for some time with the lack of Smartphone sales. Various news reports have been coming out over the last week about Palms stocks falling. But Today’s announcement has seemed, at least for now, to give them some hope. According to the news reports the Palm Pre Plus will sold by AT&T for 149.99 and the Palm Pixi Plus for 49.99. I have never used a Palm device but Robb from RIMarkable had some good things to say on our weekly podcasts.
AT&T is also getting another Android device. This phone is from Dell and will be called the Aero. No price or release date info yet.

An article on 9 to 5 Mac has possible uncovered some future plans for both the iPhone and iPad. In a view of the 3.2 SDK they were able to locate some new Icons that would be used for Video chat.One button was for accepting Video the other was to decline video chat. They also pointed out some code information to further the speculation that this feature is coming.

A lot of Windows Mobile users take pride in being able to install a new ROM on their phones. XDA-Developers create a ton of excellent ROM’s that add or change the functionality of WinMo phones. Now there is a downside to installing a “Cooked ROMâ€.
