Imagine President Obama addressing the nation about oil spills, but starting off talking about how common oil spills are and this is not a unique issue. That what the Apple approach to the press conference, drag others into the mud with us. It was interesting how defensive and sometimes condescending the speech message sounded. I knew BlackBerry fans would be up in arms when Apple demonstrated the issue on the Bold 9700 in an attempt to say others have the same problem. Despite Apple publishing the press conference the Q&A is not included. In the Q&A one person said I cannot produce the issues on my BlackBerry Bold 9700 can you explain why. Well RIM officially responded to Apple's attempt to drag others into their PR issue and Nokia just took cheap shots. Maybe Apple deserved the cheap shot, they fired first.
Update: I missed Apple calling Nokia and Motorola. So Nokia just responded

A really good friend of mine, Jerome has the generation 1 iPhone. We had and Instant message (IM) chain where he just unleashed his fustration with his iPhone. I know this is wrong but the content was so good I have to share it with everyone. Plus I asked Jerome first. As much as I wanted to egg him on this was just a several minute rant. If you have not yet realized the power of the Zune Pass consider making your iTunes purchases now. Apple is giving away a $10,000 gift card to the person that downloads the 10,000,000,000th song from iTunes. Yes 10 billion!!! Check out the count down and if your going to buy at least try and win. I am not much for terms and conditions so read them yourself.

Apple today released a new version of the iPhone and iPod touch software. The new version is 3.1.3. You can tether your device to iTunes and get the update. Like the rest of the world, I have been scratching my head around the recent Apple iPad announcement. Frankly, there are some attractive factors around this announcement, as well as some disturbing lacks. But I read a comment from the SimpleMobileReview.com site this morning that I really think hits the mark: [click to continue…]

Since Posting the article Why was the Apple iPad Announcement BORNIG I have been blasted by many of my Mac loving friends as a traitor. I am not much for drinking Kool-Aid coming from any vendor, as for the beverage, well I still keep a pitcher in the fridge. Let me be clear, I buy Apple technology. I have owned all 3 versions of the iPhone, I have at least 4 working iPods, 1 Mac Mini, 1 Apple TV, 1 iMac, 2 Mac Book Pro's, 1 Mac Book Air, 1 Airport Express, 1 Time Capsule. If there is one thing I am not is an Apple hater, but I am not a fanboy for anyone. Well at least not for free. I dumped Windows Mobile for the iPhone because Microsoft failed to innovate. I have now dumped my iPods for the Zune HD for the very same reason.

Earlier this week I wrote a post on a very easy way to add a movie to your Windows Phone. All you had to do is purchase it from Amazon and use the software to transfer it. Rod wrote an article yesterday about how to put movies on your mobile devices using software on a Mac. There are more technical people that read our post that want to know how to add a movie they already own to their phone. Let me help you

Thoughts from Rod
I hoped for something good and got an oversized iPod Touch. I just cannot see buying this device without getting it to replace something else. I have a friend that wants to buy my MacBook Air, maybe I will part with that and pick one up. Actually, most likely not. This is a massive disappointment. Any tech outlet making excuses or trying to make you believe this POS is worth buying has lost their creditability.

Google has launched a new version of the Google Voice app for the iPhone. In the Middle of 2009 Google created an app for the iPhone that would allow users to initiate Google Voice calls through the iPhone. Google voice circumvents the need to make calls over the voice line and instead uses the internet.
