We have seen a lot of leaked information over the last few weeks pertaining to Windows Phone 7. The one leak, that still has not happened yet, is a Phone 7 device for Verizon. I am really starting to wonder if Verizon won’t be a part of the Windows Phone 7 launch. On one hand, this would not surprise me looking back at the Kin debacle. There must be some bad feelings between Microsoft and Verizon. However, Microsoft should make it work no matter what. It is clearly a benefit for Windows Phone 7 to be on as many carriers as possible.
What phonearena.com is calling a leaked “upcoming Verizon Phones page” does not show one Phone 7 device. It does show a ton of Android devices but that is not for this discussion. IF it turns out that Verizon is shunning Phone 7 then I hope it blows up and they never get it. If Verizon is just playing a wait and see game then I guess I can understand that. I wonder if they are getting the iPhone and part of the deal was not to carry Windows Phone 7. Now that would make for some juicy gossip.
