Power Liberator Cord

In line with Rod’s previous post on the Mini-USB to Micro-USB adapter, I have found another excellent adapter that I carry with me everywhere. It is the Power Strip Liberator Plus, a short 6″ adapter that gives you the ability to plug in two devices in a single available outlet. Do you ever find yourself in an airport, needing a recharge, but all the outlets are in use? It is very easy to ask “Can I unplug you for 3 seconds and share your power?” Or the reverse, when someone sees that you are already using the outlet, it lets you say “Just a moment and I will open a slot for you”. I also find that I use it a LOT in my hotel room, when I find that behind the night-stand there are no additional outlets, because they are already taken up with a lamp and a clock radio. It is the matter of a couple of second to make another option available. This item is a little expensive at $4.99 each, but interestingly enough you can purchase 5 for just $12.95. Share with a friend! It is worth it.

If you want to get fancier and spend just a little bit more, I have a second option that I use often in conference rooms: Monster Outlets-to-GO. The 3 plug version of this is $12.78 and the 4 plug version is $15.82. Couple this with a Cables Unlimited Zip-PWR-EX1 ZipLinq Retractable Power Extension Cord and it is amazing how fast a group of people can hook up to power and get down to work. Works great in any situation where you need to get power quickly to multiple devices with limited outlets available. Please keep in mind that your power draw will be limited to 10 AMP or so by the cord rating. This is not a good solution for your refrigerator! Always use common sense, please. Enjoy!

Picture the husky little elementary school kid who has the backpack full of everything. Now picture himas a full grown adult. That is Mr. WinMo aka Chris. Yes he has everything and probably more than one of them!

LOL! Well, let me put it this way: my computer roller-bag usually weighs more than the bag that I check at the airport. Plus, I carry another bag with my airplane computer, my Sony Reader, etc. etc. About every 3 months I go through my bags and see if I can cut anything. I do a trip or two and see if it hurts. If I get to the point where the stuff I HAVE to have doesn’t fit, I go looking for bigger bags. So far, it works. I usually find stuff that I can leave behind or ways to combine multiple functions into fewer items.
