Mini USB to Micro USB

I carry a mini USB cable to power a portable USB hard drive when I travel. Additionally I carry a micro USB cable to charge my mobile phones. I use the word carry lightly because I constantly forget a cable and need to run to Best Buy or a Verizon store to buy yet another charger. I have 5 micro USB chargers and still somehow despite keeping one in my travel backpack and one in my briefcase, I can arrive on a trip without a cable.

A fellow road warrior introduced me to these little converter cables the take a mini usb and converts it to micro. I bought a couple and added to my travel bag hoping it will prevent me from buying yet another charger. The brilliant thing about these converter cables is they cost $1.14 from Amazon.  I bought 3 because the shipping cost is $2.98 and it is not eligible for Amazon Prime shipping.

I rarely get tips form friends the cost $1.

Great gadget! I also need the micro cable for connecting my recorder, and don’t always have it with me when I’m on the road (which is every week).

If only someone could come up with a ‘micro’ power supply for our laptops.I’d love to get rid of the weight and bulk of the power supply.
