Post image for Leaked HTC Device Running Windows Phone 7

There is not a lot of info yet but Engadget.com has some photo’s of an HTC device running Windows Phone 7. Looking at the shots, the device looks like it is shaped just like the Nexus one. to that point it even has the hard touch sensitive buttons too. I did not notice the hard Camera button that is required but all in all it looks pretty good.

Follow these steps to apply for a Bumper or case.

  1. Download the iPhone 4 Case Program app from the App Store.
  2. Launch the app on your iPhone 4 and sign in using your iTunes Store account or Apple ID.
  3. Select your Bumper or case.

Keep in mind there is a time limit to ordering your case.

Twitter Blocking Native Support on Windows Phone 7

by Chris on July 23, 2010

Post image for Twitter Blocking Native Support on Windows Phone 7

Anyone that has been following the plans for Windows Phone 7 knows that Microsoft had big plans for social networking. Out of the gate there will be built in Facebook integration in Phone 7. When everyone was writing their reviews about the DEV device released this week there seemed to be something missing from them all. For whatever reason, there was no Twitter on the phone yet. Now we know that Microsoft had plans to pull the feed in via Windows Live. But, it turns out Twitter (the company) is the reason that that functionality is not there at all.

by Rod on July 22, 2010

FaceTime

My buddy was over and wanted to give me a demo of FaceTime.  After 10 - 25 attempts to get his wife on FactTime she replied with a single message the had us laughing for a good 10 minutes.  Regardless after a couple minutes the kids gave us a quick tour of the recently cleaned up toy room and the demo was complete.  More images after break [click to continue…]

Google Voice for BlackBerry Updates

by Rod on July 22, 2010

Google Voice

One thing I hate about Google is the lack of Change log when they update software.  So if you are a Google Voice user download the updated .0.2.0.2.  Remember Google Voice is open to all users in the US now.  Enjoy the update and hopefully it fixes the minor bugs you like don't know about.

At Google we are obsessed with speed. Our mantra is faster = better. This is true for our Google Voice mobile apps as well. When you want to make a call, your phone should connect you as quickly as possible, whether you’re calling via Google Voice or not. [click to continue…]

Droid X Users Consume 5x the Data of Other Verizon SmartPhone

by Rod on July 22, 2010

Motorola Droid X

I have to check with my friends running the Droid X to see if any of them got grand fathered into the Verizon unlimited data plan.  I am not saying Verizon has found their iPhone but with a single device consuming the data of 5 smartphone devices that is an impressive statistic.  Considerng the Droid X and Droid Incredible are similar except for the front facing camera and screen size you have to suspect these two features account the the usage patterns.  Ok lets be honest the screen size is the reason for the insane usage.  Still impressive!

Verizon business development executive director Jennifer Byrne:

—On data consumption: “On Droid X, we’re seeing something like 5x the data usage of any other device.”
