SMS Diversion

On a fairly regular basis, I find myself in a situation where I have to leave my smartphone (with camera) locked up while I am working in a secure facility. Now, I also admit that SMS is not my personal first-choice method of communicating. But try and tell that to my children or wife. Then I end up having to justify why they had to wait hours to get a response from me. After some digging, I came across SMS Diversion. This is an app that gives me the ability to forward all SMS messages to an email address or another phone and in the end, really works well for me.

Forgot your phone at home? Can’t take it to work? SMS Diversion will forward all text messages to your Gmail account or any other phone that you specify. Can also forward name and number of missed calls with contact list integration. Forgot to turn SMS Diversion on before leaving? No problem, remote activation allows for turning forwarding on or off by sending a predefined text message to your phone! Does not support MMS.

Some features are Pro version only (see below)

  • Forward SMS to Gmail
  • Forward SMS to another phone (Pro)
  • Forward name and number of missed calls (Pro)
  • Remote on/off (Pro)
  • Contact list integration
  • Forward to any email account (Pro)
