All other Smartphone Platforms have been kicking the teeth of Apple in for not supporting multitasking. But it looks like iPhone users finally will be able to kick back. A report from CNET.com states that the iPhone 4.0 will indeed support multitasking. Apparently there will be user facing component that will allow people to manage the currently running apps.
Today the iPhone 3.x version is very limited on what it can do at the same time. It is considered a fully preemptive multitasking OS.You can listen to music while reading a book also you can use SMS, email and a few other features simultaneously. But, Windows Phone, BlackBerry and the Android OS have no limitation on running apps. The rumor is that the iPhone will be released in June or July this year. The interesting thing will be if this feature translates to the iPad.
