Apple has announced some nice features for the upcoming iPhone 4 (IOS4). Probably the one that is getting the most chatter is the front facing camera for video conferencing. Although Skype is gearing up to offer the same feature it seems that this is the first anyone has ever heard of it. I guess that everyone is just in love with the iPhone. Well, everyone except for Motorola.
An interesting article on eweek.com said that Motorola is building a phone with a dual processor.
Motorola’s co-CEO Sanjay Jha said the phone maker is building a new Android phone with a 2GHz processor, or double the speed of the Nexus One, HTC Droid Incredible and HTC Evo 4G smartphones currently on the market.
With the early benchmarks of FROYO showing a ridiculously fast phone I can’t imagine what a dual proc phone would be doing. And imagine the apps you could run. Maybe rip a movie right on the phone. And to combat the video conferencing, Motorola will be adding dual cameras to the phone as well. Couple this with an app that can do video conferencing across carriers and platforms and you have a solid hardware update.
