Anyone who works around software knows they fuzzy feeling that I have right now. Even though I don’t work for Microsoft I feel like my own product is done. Today Microsoft announced that Windows Phone 7 is Code Complete and is being released to manufactures. This means we are one step closer to shipping a phone to all of us waiting patiently.
Normally you don’t see new features added to a product this release in the game but Microsoft went ahead and put in a few more things. There was a big complaint with the Facebook integration. There was no way to filter out certain Friends that you may not want in your contacts. Microsoft has enabled a contact filter system which looks for matches to your Facebook contacts. If there is not a match, it doesn’t pull that contact into your address book. Also you will be able to”like” someone’s posts People Hub. Windows Phone users will be able to comment directly onto someone’s Wall too. If you have not begun to get your accounts ready check out these posts for help.
