I am a strong believer that quality support is what makes a company standout. Since starting with LastPass they have pushed at least 2 updates to the Android client. For $1 per month that is more than a fair exchange. I had mentioned in my earlier article Is LastPass the Password Manager for you that one feature of paying for LastPass was support.
I had and issue in the Android Browser where a site would render properly. This site would render properly when using the built-in browser or Dolphin browser but when accessing via the LastPass WebView it did not render properly. The logon windows pulled the credential dialogs off to the left side of the screen out of view. I could zoom in about 3-4 levels to see them (Zoom was part of a recent update) it was so small it was not usable. I decided to try out support.
Experience with LastPass Support
My initial support request was responded to in 2 hrs 8min. I pay many companies more than that for crappy support, and again the mere $1 made this a steal. The support person Andrew provided a clear understanding of the problem and potential solution. My issue has not been resolved yet but then again it has only been 48 hrs since they got notified.
I suggested LastPass to a buddy that recently got his Yahoo account hacked because his weak password setup a long time ago finally gave away his secrets. If your reading this, I recommend you transition to highly complex passwords. Keep one copy in LastPass and another copy encrypted in another location. If you data does not exist in two places your about to lose it, you just don't know it yet. Ask any sidekick user.
