Ladies and gentleman the closest event to the rapture of 2010 is about to occur. The Heavens have opened up and a cloud of pixie dust are creating a light dew around the tech world. Fox News reporter Clayton Morris is reporting that Apple has sent out invitations to an event on January 27th. Apparently this is the event that the Apple Tablet device is going to be unveiled.

What May Be Announced

Clayton was able to get out of Apple they are going to be focusing on three items. These three glorious items are

  1. The new Apple Tablet
  2. iPhone 4 OS
  3. iLife 2010 Software.

Clayton goes on to say that it is possible that Apple may just announce a new Apple spray paint can that holds MP3′s and unicorn tears. The only reason I mention this line is because he stole the “unicorn tears” line from Paul Thurrott. Damn Clayton give the man some credit for his line if you are going to just hijack him like that!! Well my guess is that you will be able to throw your Apple tablet on the ground and surf on it like the Hover board in Back to the Future.

And by now if you are wondering if I could be any more sarcastic you should know the answer is yes.

My Humble Opinion

If this tablet blows up into a hot seller than I will know for sure that Apple has turned the whole world into sheep. Probably sending silent waves out from the iPods that were sold. Because with all the new Netbooks, I can not see just a tablet being that significant.

Funny! Are you suggesting that Steve Jobs is naked? On the other hand, I am a Tablet whore. I don’t care where it comes from, IF it has the correct mix of portability and functionality. However, my guess is that anything from Apple will be heavy on media and low on actual work. And, probably priced WAY beyond what I am willing to pay. HP and DELL both have some interesting offering coming out later this year. I will gladly roll over my Lenovo S-10 for one of those.
