Just when I was about to buy my wife the HTC Incredible as I had given up hope Verizon would ever push an update, they go and give us hope. Rumors have circled that Verizon would be dropping support for the Droid Eris, which was sad news given they had yet to push a 2.0/2.1 update. It looks like the Eris will get all the new bits many have enjoyed for months. Â See all the information over at Verizon Support

Don’t start shouting Android 2.1 as Verizon talks about ROM: 2.36.605.1/Radio: 2.42.00.04.12 but never say Android 2.1. Lets hope the soon is actually soon as we heard soon back before and we still have no update.
