Movie Wedge

I checked in with MovieWedge and found out that although it had been estimated that this item would be available by the end of January, still no luck. I have communicated with them and the message is that they will have them in stock soon! Stay tuned and we will let you know the moment they are available.  I did register for the notify me when available option.

    I preordered a couple of MovieWedges (and paid through PayPal) in December and I still haven’t seen the bags nor any confirmation on delivery… The company doesn’t feel that safe.. are they a scam? :(

    I checked in with MovieWedge via email during the early part of February, and they were still awaiting their next shipment. I get the idea that perhaps these are being produced overseas, and that the economic climate has slowed someone down, but I don’t know who. My personal belief is that they are a reputable organization, so I would recommend sending an email to info@moviewedge.com and see what they have to say. Let us know!

    That is the last delivery information I got as well, but since then they don’t even answer emails any more…

    In their last email they actually stated that the production is now within the US.

    I´ll keep you posted on any progress.. good or bad.

    After getting in contact with other prepaying customers I now understand that MovieWedge is a fraud / scam operation. They don’t deliver, they don’t pay back the money the owe their prepaying customers, they don’t answer emails from customers nor from PayPal staff. If you paid through PayPal, see to it that you quickly (within 45 days from purchase) ask to reclaim your money. PayPal will rule in your favor and will grant you your money back since Moviewedge doesn’t even reply to PayPals communication attempts.
    So now all presumptive customers have been warned to do business with MovieWedge. Start your own production or find a different source manufacturer!

    I think this company is a HUGE SCAM!!! I contacted the company in December they said if i pre ordered I would receive the movie wedges by January and as i pre ordered them shipping would be free. January came and went no MovieWedges.. then I got an email saying they had to change the company that made them because the quality wasn’t good.

    I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY (moviewedges) AGAIN!! I ordered my moviewedes in December with the PROMISE they would arrive at the end of January. It’s now April and I have sent them SO many emails and I have heard NOTHING back from them with a confirmation date it’s beyond a joke. I want either the MovieWedges or my money back. It’s terrible customer service as they don’t reply to emails.

    @Emma I feel your pain. However, if it helps any, I don’t think that there is any ‘scam’ going on here. This company was doing a robust business and they were selling on Amazon and number of other sites. I had spoken directly with them in February and orders were a bit delayed. However, as you have noted, since then they have gone dark. I fear that they might be a fatality of the recession. I am sorry for you that you have apparently lost your pre-order money. Did you send them money or did you use a credit card? If the later, I would contact my credit card company and see what they might do. Just a thought. I will continue to ping and see if I get a response. Keep your fingers crossed!

    We will also have various color options. and choice of filing either Eco Friendly or Regular

    Although i am based in South Africa production starts next week and we estimate to produce about 300 to 500 units a week

    If I brought 1 or 2 of them and they didn’t arrive I wouldn’t have be so bothered but fact is I brought more than that.

    I think they WERE a company with a GREAT product but couldn’t keep up with the demand got over their heads and now have basically just taken the money they got from Pre sales and ran.

    I paid via PayPal and it’s been around 4 months now since I brought the MovieWedges so I doubt I will get my money back and after 4 long months of waiting it doesn’t look like I will be getting the movie wedges either. It may not have started out as a scam but failure to reply to emails, paypal contacting them or offering a refund for a product you aren’t going to send to me screams SCAM…

    I’m glad to see they have removed the option of letting people pre order from their site to save others the trouble of wasting their money.

      @Emma, I hear you. However, scam? I think simple theft would suffice. I don’t know, perhaps they are the same thing, right? Anyway, I hope something works out for you. I ordered 4 and then canceled them in January and my credit card was never charged, so that one was dodged.

        Hugh, you might want to register your product with an online retailer like Amazon.com. Folks around here might be just a bit skittish after what happened with MovieWedge.com (although in all honesty they were registered with Amazon, but still…)

    OMG… how WEIRD IS THIS…… MOVIE WEDGE have FINALLY got back to me about 1 HOUR ago after waiting a month to hear from them.

    I just got a confirmation email saying my order has been shipped with the tracking details. After 4 months of waiting…. FINALLY some progress. So strange… I complain about their company on here and then a few hours later I get my confirmation of shipping email…. weird!!!

    I’ll let you know when or IF they arrive I also got an apology email for it taking so long.

    They have lots of different colors and are well made. Recommended!

    I too was promised delivery from moviewedge, let’s hope that they can keep their promise this time.

    FINALLY…. They have arrived!!! The MovieWedge design has changed one of the changes is it seems bigger so now the iphone can stand in portrait. I’m happy to finally have the moviewedges it’s a great product. Still not happy about the waiting time or lack of communication.

    Such a simple product but so good. No more trying to prop my iphone against things when I’m trying to watch something.

    Redlizzard & Hugh Muller = FRAUD. To all people reading this DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HUGH MULLER (“CEO”) FROM REDLIZZARD. I have been defrauded of R2750 from Hugh, who promised to deliver a desk which was never received, and despite multiple promises that my funds would be returned they have not been.

    Hugh will most likely ask you to deposit money into the following account:

    He will not deliver anything he promises to. To repeat – DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HUGH MULLER FROM REDLIZZARD. Please tell your friends and family.

    Secondly I agree there has been issues with the deliverly of the desk to Riyadh.
    I processed the refund as he requested.

    Thanks for the warning Riyadh. After Emma’s claim on 05 April 2010 it seems like these companies should be investigated. Red Lizzard, MovieWedge, I guess it’s true; Birds of a feather DO flock together. Perhaps you should also report them to the police and The Receiver of Revenue. Who knows, maybe there are many more people out there who have made deposits to Red Lizzard and have not received any joy because they did not complain online. They might have been happy to just take a small loss and move on with their lives. I for one would be embarrased to admit that I was scammed. Mr Muller could be sitting on piles of cash with absolutely no stock or the slightest intention of delivering goods.

    Hugh, seriously, “Slander”? Slander would require that Riyadh’ statement is false. Perhaps you could prove to the readers somehow that you have in fact refunded Riyadh’s deposit.

    And maybe Riyadh could let us all know when he actually receives his deposit?

    I don’t know if anyone is still posting to this section but I am curious to know if things have changed with this company. I have been trying to reach them about purchasing these and after the first few emails I have not gotten a response. The man seemed really nice, and I thought all was set. But I see that the resellers (some) have them as back ordered and no delivery date on when they will be in. I know Amazon carries them (23 left), but I am searching as a reseller. I have since contacted the other to see if I can order from them. Any additional info would be appreciated.

    The company has horrible service !! I paid for overnight delivery and not only did I not receive any confirmation of the order, but 3 days after I ordered they sent a email saying they were shipping it out. I emailed them back and said, why did I pay for overnight shipping if I am getting it 5 days after I orderd it?? They cancelled my order and said they hope I find another vendor who will send me the order next day… I mean REALLY??!!! I questiond thier business service and they cancel my order. that is horrrible customer service!! DO NOT ORDERED DIRECTLY FROM THE VENDOR OF MOVIE WEDGE, you will be ripped off!!

      I always order directly from Amazon as I recommend all other users should do. We provided the links in the post. This prevents issues. I trust Amazon for online orders but refuse to trust so many small vendors. Please save the pain and only order via Amazon.

      My name is Jonathan and I’m the founder of the company that makes the MovieWedge. From what I can see here, your order was placed after 5pm on a Friday. Though our shipping terms clearly state all orders placed before 2pm will usually go out the same day, you chose to ignore it or just assume everyone is like Amazon. Now we understand that people make mistakes, however, sending rude and demanding emails to our employees is not the way to curry favor and get what you want. We were surprised that considering you expected to receive your order “overnight” on a Saturday, that you waited until Monday before launching your tirade. We didn’t feel there was a way to fairly and adequately satisfy you in this situation so we chose to refund your entire order so that you may find an alternate vendor to get you the product in a timely fashion (which seems like it indeed worked out well). You were in no way “ripped off” as you claim.

Maybe you should try to be more flexible and not take things so personal.. this is a business, do you want more business or do you like spending time writing to peolpe (a month after the fact ) and telling them they are wrong.. really?????

    Its sad to hear people are still having problems with The Movie Wedge company. I have to say I LOVE my movie wedge even though I had to wait MONTHS to get it. The customer service is BEYOND TERRIBLE but the product is really good so like suggested above bypass buying from Movie Wedge and buy from Amazon.

    I use my movie wedge almost daily it’s well made and so useful. There are still people stuck waiting to hear back from the movie wedge company. I think it’s the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with and it put me off buying online.

    Thank You for answering my questions (all of you). I appreciate the fb. I did go through Amazon and have since decided to see about having someone design something similar. I would prefer not to have to go that road and just order them but I need a really large order and no one seems to be able to fill it. It is very likely that they were just not prepared for it’s popularity. I know from working in customer service for many years that your customers make or break you. Rule number one in any sales is always be prepared with customer service. Without it you can have the greatest product and still lose. Hopefully things will turn around for these guys but I am going a different route. I can’t afford for this to be a regular thing, it would hurt my business to carry it and not be able to have reliable delivery. Too bad because it really is something I would love to carry. I know I can’t wait for the one I ordered to come in. Again, Thanks so much for the feedback, I was wondering if I did something wrong because I was getting replies and then I went to order and no response. Not by phone or email. I will keep following to see if things change. I love this site it has some great information.
