We have received word that readers are having trouble locating the HTC Titan Windows Phone 7 device at local AT&T retail stores. After hearing about the difficulties, I decided to go to my local store and to my surprise; the Titan was not in stock. Furthermore, one of the associates at the store informed me that HTC pushed the retail shipment of Titan’s back for two weeks. We know some people were able to get hold of the new device but we are wondering if more people are running into the same situation that I am seeing.
It seems ordering on the phone is a bit of a hassle too as AT&T did not have the phone available in their inventory systems. It seems that purchasing online may be one of the only ways to order the phone as calling in to support did not work for me as well. After being transferred three times, I finally was told to order the HTC Titan via the online store. Finally, after going through three stores and three different AT&T reps the online method of ordering was successful although I am watching the status to see if it actually ships today.
