If you have ever typed a text message while driving you are bound to get into an accident and are putting lives at risk therefore, the speech Feature in Windows Phone 7 will no doubt save a life. While there are, many features in the Windows Phone 7 Mango update the one that continues to stand out to me is the Speech feature. Windows Phone 7 Speech is voice to text and text to voice capabilities on the phone essentially allowing you to operate the device hands free. Paired with a great hands free Bluetooth device such as the Jabra Cruiser or the Jabra Cruiser 2 the Windows Phone 7 Speech feature becomes very powerful. I have consistently had complete conversations via text message without ever touching the phone.

Post image for Nokia Sea Ray Windows Phone 7 leaked Video

One of the first Nokia  Windows Phone 7 Devices coming this year is code named Sea Ray and this video is the first clear look at it. Website wpcentral.com received a tip of the new device and it looks really good. One rumor killed with the video is the phone would not have the three hardware buttons at the bottom of the phone. The back, Windows, and search buttons are clearly seen on the device. The video seems to have been shot inside of some factory.

Post image for Control Your DirecTV Box With Windows Phone 7

As more apps start to show up on Windows Phone 7, Direct Remote for Windows Phone 7 may become one of my favorites. Direct Remote allows a user to use Windows Phone 7 as a remote control for the DirecTV Satellite box. Direct Remote is pretty well featured and pretty much has all of the Control options available. What is actually impressive is the speed at which the commands leave your phone and hit the box; surprisingly it is only a few seconds longer than using a regular remote control.

Post image for How to Enable Find my Windows Phone

By far one of top features on Windows Phone 7, that I love is the find my phone capabilities. This was previously overlooked by me as a nice to have but since my son’s Samsung Focus fell out of his pocket and was picked up by a stranger, there is no doubt that find my phone was responsible for the devices safe return. Find My Phone simply allows a user to locate their Windows Phone 7 device moreover you can Ring the phone to help you locate it on a map, lock the phone so no one can access the content, or erase the device all together. Furthermore, you can have an email sent to you when you successfully map, ring, erase, or lock your phone.
