There was a lot of interesting technology at CES 2012 this year and it seems the big buzz was around smart TV’s, and Ultrabooks. CNET posted their best of CES list, which has several different categories and the tech that was top in its class.

Key Ring is a fantastic app on Windows Phone 7 and is pinned on my HTC Titan’s start screen. Many people have a key ring or a wallet full of their favorite pharmacy, clothing, or grocery store’s membership card. The problem with this practice is that the clutter builds rapidly, and more over you find your keychain becoming unusable. CardStar is a popular smartphone application, which allows you to scan your cards to your mobile device however; Key Ring is a much better app.

There are quite a few weather apps on Windows Phone 7 however; WeatherLive is quickly becoming my favorite. WeatherLive is loaded with tons of features such as Toast notifications, Bing Images for your background, weather for Multiple Locations, 6-day forecast with daily details and trends, and more. My favorite feature is how WeatherLive uses live tiles. Not only does it display the current weather, but also the tile will flip over and show you an Icon representing the current conditions for example, and image of clouds with rain or a sun.

We all know that we need to be active to stay healthy, but finding motivation to exercise can sometimes be difficult. With our increasingly busy lives, it’s important that we get the most out of our workouts in the time that we have to dedicate to them. To that end, I want to share RunKeeper with you, which is the best app that I have found for running, and it is available on Android, iOS, and Windows Phone 7.

One of the things that most excited me about Android was the thought that my phone could be my personal, portable, media/entertainment hub with my games, movies, and music all at the ready. If you’re like me, though, you’re likely very disappointed with Google’s native video and music players. After much searching, however, I’m pleased to show you what I feel is the best player for watching videos on Android; Moboplayer!

Password Padlock is a nice password manager for Windows Phone 7. While the majority of my passwords are stored in, LastPass there are some one offs that I like to keep in Password Padlock. The app is only 1.99 and features the ability to create categories and the ability to backup passwords encrypted or unencrypted by emailing them to you. In the new version, you can leverage fast app switching which is awesome when trying to copy a password into another application. You can also pin your favorite password to the Start screen for quick access.

I bought my ViewSonic Viewpad 10 for one reason and one reason only and that was to be able to install the Windows 8 Developer build as soon as it became available. Today is that day and I was fully prepared to take tomorrow off because I thought I would be up all night getting Windows 8 to install but I was met with a pleasant surprise. The install took all of 10 minutes, and I will let that sink in for a second. The install probably went so fast because of the SSD that is in the Viewpad however, on the down side of the install there is only 3.29 gigs left from the available 16. I took some shots of the screens that came up during the setup I will write more about Windows 8 on the ViewSonic Viewpad 10 as time goes on.

What might be one of the best games I have ever played on my Samsung Focus mobile device I am happy to say Fight Game Rivals is now in the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace. Fight Game Rivals is not only a fight game but also involves quite a bit of strategy regarding how you attack and how you block. You also can take your fighter through the tournament and increase his fight skills. As you win fights you earn credits to buy better attacks.
