With LG signing a patent agreement with Microsoft for Android devices, they now have 70% of smartphone devices covered in the US. One of the side stories of Android Smartphones is the fact that Microsoft feels that the operating system infringes on their patents. To remedy the situation Microsoft has been signing agreements with Android manufactures to license the patents and LG is the latest to sign on.

Even though this is Microsoft’s last CES keynote, that has not stopped them from bringing the news. Last night they announced multiple LTE Phones the Lumia 900 and HTC Titan II and Kinect for Windows. In addition to last night’s splash today they announced a host of new Windows Phone games. The titles include Xbox 360 favorites Need For Speed Hot Pursuit and Splinter Cell. I can see that after February, my productivity level is going down.

Earlier today we wrote that the long awaited Xbox 360 dashboard update had been delayed. Major Nelson tweeted out the information earlier and has now tweeted that the update will begin rolling out in the next few hours. It seems that that the way he worded his tweet that the update will definitely be a staged one probably similar to what Microsoft does with Windows Phone 7.

Xbox 360 fans across the world are waiting for the new dashboard update that was scheduled to release today. Unfortunately, a tweet from Major Nelson states that the update is delayed. The new update brings the ability to watch live TV on your console from various provides and search for content via Bing. All of these new features are controlled with your voice on the Kinect Sensor or with a traditional one. Major Nelson said he would have an update later today as to when the update will release.
