Every year me and a bunch of friends go camping. While some of us in the group could definitely go a week or two in the wilderness, that is not me. In fact if you listened to our podcast this week you heard me say, I hate eating outside, I hate bugs, I am not a huge fan of wilderness, and I hate being too far from some sort of modern technology. Yeah that's right, I may be the worst camper on the planet. If you are anywhere near my level there are a few tech toys I like to have on any camping trip.

I was wondering if there was going to be some Zune HD Hacks. Rod and I both love the Zune HD. Heck, we put our heads together and wrote a post about our favorite features. Well it looks like someone named BackAtIt created a pretty good video if his Zune HD playing Gameboy games.

Microsoft has released the 64 Gig Zune HD early Hopefully this is a sign for other technologies we are waiting for this year. If you don’t have a Zune HD already then you are really missing out. The Zune HD is a beautiful device with ridiculous sound and Video Quality. So much so that the user interface on new Windows Phone 7 devices are based off of the Zune HD. If you want to get one go here.
Well it looks like the Microsoft event will not be related to the Zune HD 4.5 fireware because that is available now. Â Sorry it too so long to post I had to install and check it out first. Â Go grab your Zune HD and update.

A few days ago we reported on a leaked document that showed a possible 64 gig Zune HD. Well today Microsoft announced a new $349.99 Zune HD.Also the 16GB and the 32GB Zune will go down by $20.00 on the MSRP. So that should translate into a cheaper Zune at retailers like Amazon.

Finally after waiting and waiting we have made it into the Zune Marketplace. Thanks for all our supporters of the show that listen every week. Now users of the Zune can have an easier time locating the show like everyone else.

Enjoy!
While I love my Zune HD there are a couple thing that drive me crazy. First, for not logical reason many features of the device are removed the moment you add it the the Zune AV Dock. Next is creating a Smart DJ playlist when listening to music. Both of these features have been confirmed by the guys over at Engadget. For me this takes the one step closer to removing any Mac or PC from my home entertainment system. Next up streaming content from a network share. I have a friend that has build a app for the Zune the actually allow you to stream music from a network share now he just needs to submit this to the marketplace.
I have no clue if this 4.5 news has anything to do with the 64GB Zune Microsoft had on the site earlier today. Â Engadget will have video coming soon.

To say seeing an update to the ZuneHD is a shock is an understatement. I suspect Microsoft did not want this up yet because the links are in fact dead and you cannot get pricing as of now (Try it yourself). I thought your supposed to have a press announcement about upgrades. Oh well, lets see how this impacts pricing

I was messing around with my Zune HD the other day and realized that not every application has to have a significant daily need. Sometimes you have an app that you play with just for the fun of it. I decided to take an app from different devices and see if you enjoy them like I do.
