This device is a desktop Bluetooth speakerphone functional enough for your office and sleek enough for your living room. Our network site WinGadgetNews.com reviewed the Jambox specifically with Windows Phone 7 and were quite happy with the results.

LG Nitro HD LTE – Review

LG Nitro HD

AT&T is making their push for a true 4G network as they rollout a 4G LTE service to rival the speeds Verizon customers have enjoyed for over a year. The LG Nitro HD is the third device in the AT&T lineup to support the super-fast LTE Network.  The Nitro HD, known in other parts as the Optimus LTE, is a fantastic piece of hardware with a 4.5-inch 1280 x 720 AH-IPS display, dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, 1.3-megapixel front camera, and 8-megapixel-1080p rear camera. The biggest challenge for the LG Nitro will be the $250 price tag with a 2-year contract considering other LTE devices on AT&T can be purchased for under $200.

Case-Mate Tough Case for the HTC Titan

Case Mate HTC Titan Tough Case

After a week of using my new HTC Titan, I decided to invest into a nice case. Although the Titan has a very solid build, the smooth metal body makes it susceptible to drops. During the first week, I had a couple of close calls.

After searching the Internet and only coming up with mostly pouches and cheap black gel cases, I decided to try the AT&T website. AT&T had a Case-Mate Tough Case for the Titan that wasn’t even listed on the Case-Mate website. The Case-Mate listed for $45 which is more than I wanted pay for a case, but the day I purchased it, there was a 35% discount. So I ended up paying $29.25 that day.

Samsung Focus Flash Review

Post image for Samsung Focus Flash Review

AT&T and Samsung recently released the the Samsung Focus Flash, the spiritual (and literal) little brother to the Focus S. The phone’s size and price have shrunk, but should your attention also shrink away from it? Find out in the review below.

By way of full disclosure, I am an Android user of over 3 years, and this is my first experience with a Windows Phone 7 device. I’ll try to keep this review mostly to the phone itself, and I’ll tackle my views on the Windows Phone 7 OS after I’ve spent some more time with the phone, and the HTC Titan.

Samsung Galaxy S2 SkyRocket

The Samsung Galaxy S2 has been making the headlines for the last several months. AT&T’s latest variant, the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, is now available, and is one of AT&T’s first 4G LTE capable phones. Does it live up to its predecessor’s hype? Find out in the full review below.

By way of full disclosure, this is the first Galaxy S2 (GS2) variant that I have tested. The folks at AT&T were kind enough to send this to us and I have been using it over the holiday break, and my experience thus far has been favorable. Let’s get down to it then.

Amazon Kindle Fire Review – First Time User

Amazon Kindle Fire

It is amazing how easy it is to get a good friend to review technology when you hand them the product to play with.  I had Kim review the BlackBerry Playbook weeks ago. This time around I had her review the Amazon Kindle Fire. This will be the second tablet she has played with and she does not currently own an e-ink eReader. Brent and a somewhat harsh opinion on the Kindle Fire, lets see what Kim thinks.

I love a book. I really love a good book. I love turning the pages, feeling the weight of the book in my hands and hearing the sound of the spine cracking when you first open it. What I do not love is what happens TO my books. My children take my book marks, they un-dog ear my pages (something that probably makes my former English prof very happy), they ruin my dust jackets and they hide my books. Well, they will not have the opportunity to do that any longer. I have fallen in love with the Kindle Fire. As long as they don’t figure out how to get into my books (ha ha), I’m in the safety zone.

Amazon Kindle Fire, Thoughts from SMR

by Rod on November 21, 2011 · 2 comments

Amazon Kindle Fire

There is an effort to see who can build a tablet with the least number of buttons. The Amazon Kindle Fire has a single power button, which is a win for design simplicity, yet a flaw for usability.

The volume control for the Kindle Fire is on screen, so when playing games, video, or audio, there are issues in getting to the controls, same as when playing video that is embedded in a web page. In my usage I have issues playing web video on Revision 3, as it uses an embedded player vs. TWIT.TV that launches the native video player app. This is a minor but annoying flaw.

Motorola Droid RAZR Review

Motorola Droid RAZR

OK, let’s get this out of the way right up front: This phone is so thin it could almost double for a letter-opener. I have to admit that I had my worries that I would break the device in half, but nothing could be further from the truth. This was a fun review for me because I knew that I would be purchasing one of the two phones review by SMR this week. In the end, I did not chose this phone, but had it been the only choice, I believe I would have been very happy indeed with the results. The Motorola Droid RAZR is an amazing piece of technology and it speaks very well for the future of Motorola in the Android ecosystem.
