People on my Lawn is a challenging yet fun game for the BlackBerry Playbook. It is a game of angles and while the goal is simple the ability to be successful is sometimes mind-boggling. Position magnets red and blue magnets around the screen to attract the missile and guide it to the target(s) you need to destroy. Red magnets will attract the rocket while blue magnets will repel it. When the magnets are used in concert you get quick successful kills.

I have not subscribed to premium channels for several years so I will will be sitting on the side lines as many people enjoy HBO on the iPad, iPhone, Android Phones, or Xoom tablets for no additional charge. To say this is a brilliant move by HBO is an understatement. They took the model you already paid for HBO so here is another way to watch and enjoy it. HBO understands that this will likely keep subscribers high if they continue to improve the service.

Despite the fact that Windows Phone 7 has a built in Radio we still use TuneIn Radio which users to stream their favorite FM/AM radio stations over the internet. TuneIn Radio not only displays the station but can also show you the current lineup of DJ’s and a profile on each person too. I am a heavy satellite radio listener, which still does not have a Windows Phone 7 app; however, there are local radio stations that I listen to on my Samsung Focus. TuneIn Radio has 50,000 stations so chances are you can find something you like. Version 1.2 features a few bug fixes and enhancements, which are:
- Better support for Windows streams (no pause in playback, when locking the screen, should work over Bluetooth now)
- Fixed error loading low bitrate (< 32 kbit/s) streams (many radio scanners stream at 16 kbps).
- Option to disable screen auto-lock for Now playing screen, which is useful when user wants to see now playing information all the time
The new versions is in the marketplace and has already been notified on my Focus.

The Washington Redskins have already collected my money on the 2011 NFL season, assuming there is a 2011 season the draft may actually be important. At 8PM last night the first round of the draft started and the Redskins picked Ryan Kerrigan DE. If you want to keep up-to-date on the draft you could tune into ESPN or download the NFL Mobile app and get live draft coverage. The lithe version is free while the premium version is $1.99. The premium version includes live coverage so if you plan to be out tonight and not in front of a TV this will come in handy, then again what NFL fan is not glued to the TV during draft time. Order a pizza and crack open a cold one.

Sugarsync is the one cloud-storage app that I pay for year after year. I was somewhat miffed last month when they released a complete rewrite for iOS that really upped the ante, but nothing for Android! Imagine my pleasure when I found the notice waiting in my inbox this morning for the Android update. The wait was worth it. Rather than having to manage everything from a PC/Mac, you can now make your Android device a full-sync partner, including telling Sugarsync to automatically upload any photos taken to your Sugarsync storage cloud. On top of that, the Sugarsync Personal edition gives you 5 GB of free storage, unlike most competitors that offer no more than 2 GB. [click to continue…]
