I have nook and kindle both installed. I have books in both. I made sure I was using the newest version of Calibre. Still didn't have any luck. I guess I'll keep looking for an answer. Thank you for your help though. I'll comment if I figure it out so if anyone else is having the same problem.

Terescia,

I really depends what app you have on the Droid X. It is my understanding that Calibre looks for directories on the SD Card to find one (from an app) that it knows and it will then allow you to dump to the Droid X. I have no problem, for example, connecting my Droid X and loading books to the Kindle for Android directory. Hope this makes sense.

I'm a nook user, but I just purchased a Droid X phone. I've always used Calibre for my ebook management on the nook, but I can't get Calibre to recognize that I have a device attached when I plug in my Droid phone. Do you have any tips for me? I have been looking for an answer but haven't found anything yet! :(

I am not sure you could get it to run ON the Nook. I know that it does run on Linux, and hence possibly on Android (in the right circumstances), however, I would be surprised it the Nook has the horsepower to do the conversion. I personally was just thrilled when they recently started supporting 64-bit platforms!

I've been using Calibre for the translation of my various eBook formats into Epub. It is a fantastic piece of software. I'm curious to see, once the Nook firmware matures and the rooting attempts become more sophisticated, if it will be possible to get Calibre to run ON the Nook, since it runs on Android.
