Barnes and Noble Android App is Now Available

Nook for Android

If you have been reading SMR for any amount of time you know Brent and I are huge ebook fans.  These mobile ebook apps are a great way to allow people with specialized ebook devices like the Amazon Kindle or Barnes and Nobile Nook to access content on other devices.  Barnes and Noble have made their ebook reader app available on PC, Mac, BlackBerry, iPhone, iPad, and now Android.

Nook for Android is a 17MB download so if your running Android 2.2 I would suggest installing to SD Card, but Brent checked and this option is not available.  I would say download over Wi-Fi but I pull down 300 MB podcasts over 3G.  Enjoy.

    Well, I guess I should clarify: the download is ‘only’ 5.2 MB, but when it installs, it is in excess of 17 MB in size! That wouldn’t be so bad if you could push it to SD Card, but not possible unless your phone is rooted and you have it in SD Card-loading mode. Not me…
