Otterbox Defender and Commuter Case for the Droid Razr

The Motorola Droid Razr launched on 11/11/11 at 11:11 AM and Otterbox was ready with both the DROID RAZR Defender Series Case and DROID RAZR Commuter Series Case to protect the device. If you are not aware Otterbox builds some of the most durable cases on the market and with a phone as thin as the Droid Razr this is on accessory to consider.

The Defender Series case is the most rugged case offered by Otterbox while the Commuter series tries to preserve the slim design with a protective shell. Despite being water resistant and scratch proof this is a case to have

To demonstrate the speed and power of the Verizon 4G LTE network, Verizon hosted a Madden NFL 12 challenge between Vonta Leach, Baltimore Ravens linebacker, and Ryan Kerrigan, Washington Redskins linebacker. iPad after Cloth Addiction Clean

After a child plays with an iPad, the screen looks like a jumble of smudged finger prints similar to finger paint. Every day or two, I clean the screens on our iPads to get back to a clean display. I decided to try a cleaning cloth called Cloth Addiction which is a microfiber cleaning cloth from a company called CTA Products.

Apples Has Released iOS 5.01 Update

iOS 5.01 Update

Apple has released the much awaited iOS 5.01, which should address the battery issues many users are experiencing. Hopefully it also covers the recent security exploit highlighted by Charlie Miller. Additionally this update should address multi  touch gestures on the original iPad, bugs with iCould documents, voice recognition for Australian users using dictation.

This is the first time you are able to update your iOS device OTA (over the air).  Over WiFi this update took about 1 minutes from clicking the button until it rebooted and started the install.  The install itself was completed in 3-4 minutes.  I remain connected to power, just in case. If you have not received and update you can force a check by going to Settings | General | Software Update.

Reminders in iOS Helps you Stay on Top of your Day

Reminders

How many times at the end of a business day have you said, “I will deal with this first thing tomorrow,” only to forget about it over night. Since iOS 5 was announced I felt the Reminders app would be a stand out winner, and it has proven to be the ultimate task reminder tool. We frequently get asked “can you call me around 3:00,” “can you remind me about that tomorrow,” or told “ we cannot book the flight for another 45 days.” Some of these may actually make it to your calendar as events, while others you may only hope to remember. With iOS Reminders, however, all of these small tasks are pushed off to a humble app.

Adobe’s will no Longer Develop Flash for Mobile Devices

Adobe Flash

Adobe will cease the development of Flash on mobile. This is huge as many Android Tablets and the BlackBerry Playbook tout this as a feature of the devices. This can only be related to poor adoption of tablets other than the iPad and Apple refusing to adopt Flash on the iPad.

Windows Phone NY Event

If meeting Brandon Watson in person is not enough then try having lunch with Paul Thurrott and Mary-Jo Foley. We got hands on time with a wide variety of Windows Phone devices from the HTC Titan, Nokia Lumia (thanks to a Tom Warren of WinRumors), Acer Allegro, HTC Radar, Samsung Focus Flash, Samsung Focus S, and the Toshiba IS12T. This event was geek heaven and after touching the Samsung Focus S and HTC Titan it is clear the mega screen works on Windows Phone. Lets hope developers will be allowed to customize tile sized like on Windows 8 in the coming future.

TweetDeck for iPhone

TweetDeck is one of the most social networks that allow you to read and post status messages on Twitter and Facebook. TweetDeck has apps for the desktop, iPhone, Android, and the Google Chrome browser. The UI is designed into columns that contained a filtered view of your social network based on a person, search term, list, or other filters.

Logitech Keyboard Case for iPad 2

The iPad is becoming a common guest in meetings. I have never seen more iPads or Logitech Keyboard Cases as I have a Blog World 2011 in LA. While laptops dominated the landscape it was clear that the trendsetters opted for their iPad 2 with the Logitech Keyboard Case. The ultra slim iPad 2 and Logitech Keyboard Case combination made the MacBook Air look like a relic of the past.
