Well it finally looks like the iPhone will have tethering (Tethering allows you to share your phone’s mobile internet connection with other devices like a laptop) without having to jailbreak your phone. It seems that pretty much every business iPhone user wanted this feature. Unlike Windows Phone and BlackBerry, Android and iPhone require rooting and jail breaking to get this feature. Engadget.com has an article that shows this feature in the iPhone 4.0 OS beta. But there is a catch,

Regarding tethering, Windows Phone, Android, and Blackberry do have one thing in common. You do not have to add anything to your plan. It appears in the screen shot that you will have to add tethering to your AT&T plan for it to work. But at the end of the day, beggars can not be choosers. Either way, whichever device you have make sure you have a data plan to support the data you are using.
