If you have an American Express Platinum card you can link you American Express Travel app to your TripIt account to receive TripIt Pro for free. If you do not have Amex Platinum or Centurion you can still get TripIT Pro for a reduced price. To get TripIt Pro for free you need to do the following:
- From your iPhone or BlackBerry download the American Express Travel App (iPhone or BlackBerry)
- Logon to the American Express Travel App on your iPhone or BlackBerry
- On a BlackBerry once you logon you get a popup to Activate TripIt Pro
- I could not test the iPhone but I believe you need to click the TripIt Pro Travel Link
- Once you click the Activate button you will be prompted for your TripIt username and password to authorize the American Express App.
- Sign in with your TripIt account and you are all setup

Now if you paid for TripIt Pro that is nonrefundable however if you signup via your American Express TripIt offer it will take effect when you subscription is up for renewal.
