Weeks ago, we wrote about the possibility for Amazon Prime members getting free movie streaming. As it turns out, this feature is live. Prime subscribers can now stream movies from Amazons library. The list is nowhere near the amount available through Netflix; however, the pricing model should worry them. Amazon prime costs 79 dollars a year. With that membership, you get much cheaper shipping for ordered products. Contrary to that, Netflix’s cheapest plan is 7.99 a month. Obviously, Amazon Prime is a better deal. Unfortunately, free Amazon Prime members are not eligible for this service. The logical next step would be for Amazon’s Mobile app to support streaming movies. Currently, Adobe flash is required for streaming movies. Therefore, Android phones should stream today.
If you don’t have Amazon Prime sign up for it today.
