The Amazon Kindle is already an amazing reading device for books but now you can send your documents to the Kindle for reading too. Amazon released a new Windows application call Send to Kindle which allows you to right click on a document and send it wirelessly to your Kindle. The Amazon servers format the document than sent to your Kindle as a .PDF. This makes it clear that Amazon plans to add as many features as possible to their awesome eBook reader.

The supported file types for Send to Kindle are

  • Microsoft Word (.DOC)
  • Microsoft Word (.DOCX)
  • TXT (.TXT)
  • RTF (.RTF)
  • JPEG (.JPEG, .JPG)
  • GIF (.GIF)
  • PNG (.PNG)
  • BMP (.BMP)
  • PDF (.PDF)

Reading your personal documents on Kindle is now easier than ever

  • Send personal documents to your Kindle from your PC.
  • From Windows Explorer, simply right click on one or more documents and choose Send to Kindle.
  • From any Windows application that can print, select Print and choose Send to Kindle (documents are delivered in PDF format).
  • Choose to archive documents in your Kindle Library, where you can re-download them conveniently anywhere at any time.
