Unlike Apple Google and Microsoft have continued to embrace Adobe. One of the biggest challenges for mobile app developers is getting one app on all platforms. One of the easiest ways to accomplish this is either having a web app or using a single platform like Adobe Air. All any user would have to do is install Adobe Air on their phone then it will run the app. But, Apple doesn’t like this idea because it will take away from their revenue. Either way Adobe is announcing the availability of the Software Developers Kit (SDK) for Android 2.2.
It will interesting to see if this platform will take off for mobile phones. I can’t imagine any App developer not wanting to cut down on their workload. I am also interested to see how rich of an application can be done in Adobe Air too.
